Hey,
I'M Jaylynn!
I'm a small-scale photographer based in Hastings, Minnesota, with a passion for capturing photos of horses. Over time, I’ve been steadily growing my skills and expanding into a variety of sessions—including group shoots and livestock shows. My focus is capturing natural moments with the right lighting rather than heavy editing.
If you have any questions or are interested in booking a session, feel free to reach out—I’d love to grow my portfolio with livestock events and creative shoots!
From the barn to the camara...
I was born and raised in Hastings, Minnesota, growing up on a small family beef and row crop farm. Agriculture has always been a huge part of my life, and growing up around livestock taught me the value of hard work, patience, and appreciating the little moments along the way.
I attended South Dakota State University, where I studied Agribusiness. While in college, I stayed involved in the show world through Little International showing beef, dairy, goats, and horses. Being hands-on with so many species gave me a deep appreciation for the time and dedication that goes into every show and every animal.
Horses have always been my passion. I grew up riding and showing in western pleasure and gaming, and now I compete in dressage with CSDEA. Because I’ve spent so much time in the saddle, I know how important it is to capture the details—whether it’s a winning round, a quiet moment at the rail, or the bond between horse and rider.
My love for photography started early, taking photos at the Dakota County Fair, especially during the swine shows. What began as snapping pictures at the fair quickly turned into a passion for capturing the hard work, pride, and memories that come with showing livestock and horses.
Today, I combine my agriculture background, horse experience, and love for photography to capture seniors, families, and livestock and horse shows. I understand the moments that matter—because I’ve lived them—and I’d love to help you preserve them.
